Project Overview

Cluvi is a mobile application that connects people who have recently moved to a new city, helping them socialize, discover places, and feel supported throughout their adaptation process.

01 - Contexto

Cluvi was born from a personal need: finding a simple way to connect with others in a new city and access useful information without relying on multiple apps. The project combines emotional design, UX research, and the development of a functional MVP.

The research was based on interviews, surveys, and behavioral analysis to understand how people deal with loneliness or disorientation when moving to a new city. Based on these insights, the main features and the visual identity of the product were defined.

UX/UI DESIGN

The Double Diamond methodology was applied, from the research phase to the design of high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. The design balances usability with an emotional aesthetic: soft colors, rounded typography, and a clear navigation hierarchy.

Cluvi was built to convey trust and a sense of closeness from the very first interaction, with careful attention to user flows and microinteractions.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Facilitate connections between people in a new city.
  • Provide a practical and emotional guide within a single app.
  • Design an intuitive and empathetic experience from the first interaction.

PROTOTYPING & TESTING

Cluvi was fully designed in Figma, from initial wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes. This tool enabled the creation of a clean, emotional interface aligned with the brand identity, with careful attention to hierarchy, color, and typography. It also allowed continuous iteration between visual and functional phases, always maintaining a user-centered approach.

Once the prototype was completed, usability tests were conducted in Maze with real users to validate the experience and identify potential friction points. The results provided valuable insights into navigation clarity and user behavior, allowing further refinement before development and ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and empathetic experience from the first use.

02 - Results

The Cluvi project successfully transformed a complex idea into a clear, accessible, and emotionally engaging product. The app design was well received during user testing, with users highlighting its ease of use, visual consistency, and approachable tone.

Beyond design, Cluvi evolved into a concept with social impact: connecting people, reducing feelings of loneliness, and fostering more human local communities. Every screen and design decision reflects a clear intention: to support users throughout their process of adaptation and discovery.
